Hannah (Gaebel) Dorn served on NAYC during the ’13-’14 and ’14-’15 school years. She obtained an Agronomy degree with a minor in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2016. Currently, she owns and operates her photography business, HG Images Photography, works full time as a Support Agronomist and Marketing Manager at Ward Laboratories in Kearney, NE, and runs a small cow calf herd with her husband, Andy.

In her free time, Hannah enjoys reading, spending time outside, and playing with her Australian Shepherd, Mae.

Hello, my name is Kate Grimes. I am the agriculture educator and FFA Advisor at Axtell Community Schools and farm with my husband in the Minden/Axtell area. I served on NAYC in 2014-2015, 2015-2016, and 2016-2017 and was a delegate at NAYI when I was in high school. I now act as the secretary for the NAYC Alumni. My name is Andy Jobman and I am a farmer and agronomist from Gothenburg, Ne. Together with my family we raise food grade white and yellow corn for Frito-Lay, soybeans, alfalfa and cow-calf. I attended NAYI as a delegate and returning delegate 2004 and 2005 and went on to serve three terms on NAYC from 2005-2008 holding the offices of Secretary and President of the Council my final two years. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, majoring in Agronomy and Minored in Agricultural Economics. NAYI and NAYC will forever hold a special place in my life as it is the beginning of countless relationships with fellow delegates, Councilors, as well as speakers and staff of NDA. Beyond solidifying my interest for a career in agriculture, my time with this organization as well as the people it brought into my life helped inspire and motivate me to become involved in agriculture policy; something that was never on my radar in high school. I've been involved with the Nebraska Corn Growers Association for a decade now, and currently serve as its President, as well as in several capacities at the national level with the National Corn Growers Association. NAYI and NAYC certainly helped prepare me for this kind of leadership and service to the industry. When I look at influential people of leadership and influential positions in agriculture today, both within the state and in Washington D.C., so many of them were past participants of NAYI and councilors on NAYC. I'm very proud to say I'm a NAYC Alumni!

Hi all! I’m Amanda Kowalewski, and I’m originally from Gothenburg, NE. After attending NAYI for two years, I was on NAYC from ’15-’16 to ’17-’18 and served as Head Counselor in ’17-’18. I’m finishing up my Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics and will start a job with Rural Prosperity Nebraska this August. In my spare time, I love cheering on the Huskers, hiking National Parks, and testing out new recipes. I love rural living and am excited to help build strong communities here in The Good Life!

I'm Kari Loseke and I was on NAYC from 1991-1993. My husband Kurt and I reside in Blair, NE on my family's farm. We have 2 daughters, Kelsey and Kendra will both be attending UNL in the fall. I work with my family at Mathiesen Grain Company, our privately owned grain elevator. We handle primarily corn and soybeans and offer custom grain hauling and grain vac services to farmers. Without a doubt, attending NAYI changed the trajectory of my life. Prior to that I didn't see myself working in agriculture, but seeing so many motivated peers with similar backgrounds at NAYI opened me up to the possibilities. I was honored to be part of the NAYC in college and am thankful for the professional development I gained from the experience.

My name is Courtney Nelson, and I am a recent alum of the NAYC. I served in 2018-2020 and served as a Head Counselor in my final year. NAYI introduced me to a great network of individuals and revealed to me the vast opportunities agriculture can offer. I enjoyed serving on Council each year to expand my network and grow professionally each year. Some of my favorite memories come from industry tours each year and staying at an NAYC member's childhood home. I will be graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in December 2021 with intent to work with precision irrigation technology and assist farmers in understanding how to optimize yields with fewer inputs. I hope to live around my hometown of Monroe. One of my lifelong goals is to visit all fifty states.
