The Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) follows the Nebraska Public Records Statutes (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 84-712 through 84-712.09) and all other state laws when determining the public disclosure of documents. Please refer to the Nebraska Public Records Statutes for the official policies governing public records requests.

For residents (persons domiciled in this state and news media without regard to domicile) of Nebraska, a charge representing the time required more than eight cumulative hours to search for, identify, physically redact, and copy records will be imposed for providing copies of public records.

For nonresidents, a charge representing the entire amount of time it takes employees to search, identify, physically redact, copy, or review such records, including the services of an attorney to review the requested public records, may be imposed for providing copies of public records.
