  • Poultry NPIP
    • VS Form 9-3
    • Pre-assigned out of state poultry permit
    • Originate from NPIP flock or hatchery
  • Poultry Non NPIP
    • CVI (Health Certificate)
    • Pre-Entry Import Permit Number - unless using an approved eCVI
      • Approved eCVIs: Acclaim Systems, AgView, GVL, ISDA eCVI (Idaho), Mi-Corp, myVetTech, OVIS (Oregon), SaleTime eCVI, Vet Sentry, VSPS
    • Negative pullorum and typhoid test for each bird within 90 days prior to entry

    List of Common Import Statements

    Poultry and ratite birds under eight (8) weeks of age shall: (National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP))

    Be accompanied by a VS Form 9-3;

    Obtain a pre-assigned out of state poultry permit, Permit to Ship Poultry and/or Hatching Eggs into Nebraska, a copy of which is attached as Appendix L, and is adopted and incorporated herein by reference; and

    Originate from a National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) participating flock or hatchery, or flock with equivalent status, pursuant to 9 C.F.R. parts 145 to 147 Link CFR 9 – 145 through CFR 9 – 147.

    Poultry and ratite birds over eight (8) weeks of age shall:

    Have a CVI and a pre entry import permit prior to movement and originate from an NPIP participating flock or be individually tested and found to be negative for pullorum and typhoid within ninety (90) days prior to importation.
