You will need to contact us at agr.food.renewal@nebraska.gov.

Please detail in the email that your business has closed and include your:

  • Owner ID
  • Business Name
  • Business Address
  • Basic Contact information

You will stop receiving renewal notices once we confirm this in our system.

You can also contact your food inspector with this information. To determine who your inspector is for your establishment, please click here.

Do NOT pay the renewal fee. You will need to email us at agr.food.renewal@nebraska.gov and provide:

  • Why the owner name is incorrect and what it should be changed to
  • Owner ID
  • Business Name
  • Business Address
  • Basic Contact information

Keep in mind that if the owner name has changed because ownership has changed, a new permit will need to be issued.

  • Why the owner address has changed (due to move, etc.)
  • New Owner address
  • Owner ID
  • Business Name
  • Business Address
  • Basic Contact information

Yes! If you look at the front of your food permit renewal postcard, you will see the amount that you owe next to your owner ID. Make checks payable to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture. You can mail in your check to the address listed as the return address on the postcard. Please be sure to write your owner ID on the memo line or include your postcard with your check for reference.

This depends on how you choose to pay for your renewal fee. If you pay with a check, it will take longer than if you pay online. During the renewal season, it can take 3 to 4 weeks for an establishment to receive their new permit.
